10 great links to help increase traffic to your blog
I’m encouraging our bloggers to link more to outside sites and the question I get is: how does that increase my traffic?
Well, I have not found a lot of quantifiable evidence that linking directly increases our traffic. So if you find any, please post in the comment area. I’d love to hear about it.
But there are tangible benefits of linking to good, related content:
If you are giving people what they are looking for, you may end up getting a bookmark, customer or repeat reader.
You can use links in place of footnotes, to show the original source of your information and for bringing in other perspectives.
You become part of the larger consersation and the online community. Also, the sheer goodwill gets you linked back to and the more legitimate in-bound links to your site, the higher you rate in the search engines.
